伊斯帕尼奧拉島西部，與多明尼加接壤。
2010年1月12日海地發生芮氏七級地震，
震央距離首都太子港不遠。
芮氏7.3級地震發生在當地時間周二16時53分。
隨後又相繼發生了5.9級和5.5級兩次餘震。
太子港大量建築倒塌，很死傷者被埋在廢墟中。
